Visit Rosie, the full skeleton of a whale, on display at the Coupeville wharf. See the first car ever owned on Whidbey Island at the Island County Historical Museum. The ampitheater at Camano Island State Park also holds lectures and demonstrations throughout the year. Opportunities to explore the out-of-doors abound. Don't miss Deception Pass State Park, the most-visited state park in Washington, for good reason. Over 38 miles of hiking trails (of all levels) and 1.2 miles of ADA accessible trail, breathtaking views, and old growth forest make Deception Pass a favorite for all ages. See the prairie of the Pacific Northwest just the way Captain George Vancouver first discovered it at Ebey's Landing Historical Reserve. Access to acres of trails (many ADA accessible) and parking are free. All are available for discovery. In the midst of the reserve is the town of Coupeville, the second oldest town in Washington State. Family fun opportunities abound, such as a drive in theater with go-carts, miniature golf, a public swimming pool, walk-in theaters and even a bowling alley.
